At Bacton Logistics, we’re proud to announce that we’re now ISO certified across three key areas of our business: quality management, environmental management and health & safety.
These certifications recognise the systems, processes and standards we have in place across the business, supporting our continued commitment to delivering a high-quality service, operating responsibly and keeping our people safe.
But what do these certifications actually mean and why are they important to Bacton Logistics and our customers?
What is ISO Certification?
ISO certification recognises that an organisation has been assessed against internationally recognised standards for specific areas of its operations.
These standards provide a framework for businesses to establish effective management systems, maintain consistent processes and identify opportunities for continual improvement.
For a logistics business like Bacton, this means looking at how we operate across our offices, warehouses, fleet and delivery operations to ensure we have the right systems and procedures in place.
Our three certifications cover quality, the environment, and the health and safety of our people.
ISO 9001 – Quality Management
ISO 9001 is the internationally recognised standard for quality management systems.
It focuses on helping organisations consistently provide products and services that meet customer and applicable regulatory requirements, while supporting continual improvement.
For Bacton Logistics, quality management is an important part of delivering reliable UK general haulage, pallet distribution and warehousing services.
Our ISO 9001 certification recognises the systems and processes we have established to support consistent service delivery, manage customer requirements and identify opportunities to improve the way we work.
ISO 14001 – Environmental Management
ISO 14001 is the international standard for environmental management systems.
It provides a framework for organisations to understand and manage the environmental aspects of their operations, helping them identify areas for improvement and work towards reducing their environmental impact.
Environmental responsibility is an important part of Bacton’s continued development. From our fleet and warehouse operations to the systems we use across the business, we are committed to operating more responsibly and supporting our long-term sustainability goals.
Our ISO 14001 accreditation recognises the environmental management processes we have in place and provides a structured approach to continuing this work.
ISO 45001 – Health & Safety
ISO 45001 is the international standard for occupational health and safety management systems.
It focuses on providing a framework for organisations to manage health and safety risks, improve working conditions and support the wellbeing of their people.
In logistics, health and safety is central to everything we do. Our teams work across offices, warehouses, vehicles and customer delivery sites, each with its own operational requirements and potential risks.
ISO 45001 recognises the systems and processes we have in place to support safe working practices across Bacton Logistics.
What Does This Mean for Our Customers?
Achieving ISO accreditation across these three areas reinforces the standards we aim to maintain throughout our operations.
For our customers, it provides further recognition of our commitment to quality, environmental responsibility and health & safety, alongside the experience and service we provide across our logistics operations.
It also supports our continued development as a business, helping us maintain effective processes and identify opportunities for improvement as we grow.
A Fantastic Achievement for the Whole Team
Achieving these accreditations is a significant milestone for Bacton Logistics and reflects the hard work and dedication of colleagues across the business.
From our drivers and warehouse teams to our office-based colleagues and management, everyone plays a part in maintaining the standards that underpin our operations.
We’d like to thank everyone who has contributed to this achievement. It’s a fantastic result for the whole team and an exciting step forward for Bacton Logistics as we continue to develop our services and support our customers.
